There is no god beside God

Cont’d from page 2

When again challenged by Omar, Abu Hurairah pulled out a pair of leather slippers and showed them to Omar. The slippers, he said, were given to him by the prophet, as proof for what he was saying.  Recognizing the prophet's slippers, Omar simmered down.

People who disobey God and His messenger and follow their ulamah are addressed by the following verses.

[9:31] They have set up their religious leaders and scholars as lords,  instead of GOD. Others deified the Messiah, son of Mary. They were all commanded to worship only one god. There is no god except He. Be He glorified, high above having any partners.

[42:21] They follow idols who decree for them religious laws never authorized by GOD. If it were not for the predetermined decision, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, the transgressors have incurred a painful retribution.

[2:170] When they are told, "Follow what GOD has revealed herein," they say, "We follow only what we found our parents doing." What if their parents did not understand, and were not guided?

[9:34] O you who believe, many religious leaders and preachers take the people's money illicitly, and repel from the path of GOD. Those who hoard the gold and silver, and do not spend them in the cause of GOD, promise them a painful retribution.

[63:4] When you see them, you may be impressed by their looks. And when they speak, you may listen to their eloquence. They are like standing logs. They think that every call is intended against them. These are the real enemies; beware of them. GOD condemns them; they have deviated.

[14:21] When they all stand before GOD, the followers will say to the leaders, "We used to follow you. Can you

spare us even a little bit of GOD's retribution?" They will say, "Had GOD guided us, we would have guided you. Now it is too late, whether we grieve or resort to patience, there is no exit for us."

Quranic Prophesy

It is the Quranic prophesy that the majority of Muslims will ignore the sacred Quranic teaching and will reject the Quran.

[39:45] When GOD ALONE is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter shrink with aversion. But when others are mentioned beside Him, they become
satisfied.

[40:12] This is because when GOD ALONE was advocated, you disbelieved, but when others were mentioned beside Him, you believed. Therefore, GOD's judgment has been issued; He is the Most High, the Great.

[6:116] If you obey the majority of people on earth, they will divert you from the path of GOD. They follow only conjecture; they only guess.

[25:30] The messenger said, "My Lord, my people have deserted this Quran."

Last but not least, another reminder by God and His messenger to those who idolize the Prophet Muhammad and/or Ali beside God in their Shahadah.

[6:19] Say, "Whose testimony is the greatest?" Say, "GOD's. He is the witness between me and you that this Quran has been inspired to me, to preach it to you and whomever it reaches. Indeed, you bear witness that there are other gods beside GOD." Say, "I do not testify as you do; there is only one god, and I disown your idolatry."

May God guide us all.

ANECDOTE—Crackpot

A whole new meaning to “Crackpot” from .....A water-bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a  pole, which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it. The other pot was “Perfect” and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the crackpot arrived only half-full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his house. Of course, the “perfect” pot was proud of its accomplishments... perfect for which it was made. However, the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection and was miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. “I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you. I have been able to deliver only half of my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all of the way back to your house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work. Yet, you do not get full value from your efforts,” the pot said. The bearer said to the pot, “did you notice that there are only flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side? That is because I have always known about your flaw, and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path. Everyday, while we walk back, you have watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to enjoy in my home. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.”

MORAL: EACH OF US HAS OUR OWN UNIQUE FLAWS. We are all “crack pots”. But it is the crack and the flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You have just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the GOOD IN THEM. Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape. Remember to appreciate all of the different people in YOUR LIFE!!!. THANK YOU MY “CRACKPOT” FRIENDS!
