In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Peace be upon you,

Reconciling predestination with free will is difficult for many people. God gives us the answers in the Quran.

[Quran 76:29] This is a reminder: whoever wills shall choose the path to his Lord.

     Profound Fact*
[Quran 57:22-23] Anything that happens on earth, or to you, has already been recorded, even before the creation. This is easy for GOD to do. Thus, you should not grieve over anything you miss, nor be proud of anything He has bestowed upon you. GOD does not love those who are boastful, proud.

We see from these verses that we are absolutely free to believe or disbelieve in God. However, since GOD is Omniscient, He knows the future, and our decision. If we could travel into the future, we too would be able to see the choice someone made.

Predestination, therefore, is a fact as far as God is concerned, not as far as we are concerned.
