Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, We are commanded in many verses to reverence God (Quran 4:131, 5:35, 8:29, 9:119, etc.). Reverence is defined as a sense of deep respect or devotion (to God). God tells us the importance of reverencing Him: [Quran 8:29] O you who believe, if you reverence GOD, He will enlighten you, remit your sins, and forgive you. GOD possesses infinite grace. [Quran 65:2-5] ... Anyone who reverences GOD, He will create an exit for him. ... Anyone who reverences GOD, He makes everything easy for him. ... Anyone who reverences GOD, He remits his sins, and rewards him generously. The Contact Prayers are the prime source of nourishment for our souls and our attitude (of reverence) during the Contact Prayers (Salat) is a good opportunity to examine ourselves. If we are reverently conscious of God during Salat, it sets the foundation for remembering God throughout the day. God eternally rewards those who truly reverence Him. The Righteous [Quran 39:20] As for those who reverence their Lord, they will have mansions upon mansions constructed for them, with flowing streams. This is GOD's promise, and GOD never breaks His promise.
