Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, Remembrance and commemoration of God (Zikr) are among the most important forms of worship. God speaks in the first person singular in the Quran, to remind us that we must observe Salat for the purpose of commemorating and remembering Him (Quran 20:14). Every time we commemorate God, we wipe out sins (Quran 11:114). [Quran 20:14] "I am GOD; there is no other god beside Me. You shall worship Me alone, and observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) to remember Me. Everything in the heavens and earth commemorates and glorifies God (Quran 17:44, 57:1, 59:1, 61:1, 62:1, 64:1). Those close to God sing God's praises and glorify Him at every opportunity (Quran 2:30, 40:7, 21:19-20, 41:38). A very good example for us. [Quran 57:1] Glorifying GOD is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise. [Quran 21:19-20] To Him belongs everyone in the heavens and the earth, and those at Him are never too arrogant to worship Him, nor do they ever waver. They glorify night and day, without ever tiring. [Quran 15:98-99] You shall sing the praises of your Lord, and be with the prostrators. And worship your Lord, in order to attain certainty.* *15:99 The practices of worship are our means of attaining certainty (Appendix 15). [Quran 73:8] You shall commemorate the name of your Lord, to come ever closer and closer to Him.
