Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, Observing the Contact Prayers (Salat) is mentioned as a trait of the righteous very early in Quran (Quran 2:3). The five daily Contact Prayers are the main meals for the soul. The Contact Prayers are a means to directly establish contact with our Creator. If we were talking with the President of our nation, we would be respectful and attentive. The Contact Prayers are like an appointment with the President of the Universe! Knowing how important the prayers are, let us ask ourselves, are we really reverent during our Contact Prayers? [Quran 23:1-3] Successful indeed are the believers; who are reverent during their Contact Prayers (Salat). And they avoid vain talk. [Quran 6:162] Say, "My Contact Prayers (Salat), my worship practices, my life and my death, are all devoted absolutely to GOD alone, the Lord of the universe. Worldly materials are not the true measure of success. Nourishment of our souls and pleasing God is. May God help us to observe our Contact Prayers regularly (Quran 23:9) and remember Him frequently (Quran 29:45, 33:41-42, 62:9-10).
