Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, By nature, human beings are impatient (Quran 17:11, 21:37). We want things now and done our way. We get annoyed at people who test our patience. [Quran 17:11] The human being often prays for something that may hurt him, thinking that he is praying for something good. The human being is impatient. The Quran teaches us that patience is a quality of Submitters, attainable with God's help (16:127, 21:85). [Quran 21:85] Also, Ismail, Idrîs, Zal-Kifl; all were steadfast, patient. [Quran 16:127] You shall resort to patience―and your patience is attainable only with GOD's help. Do not grieve over them, and do not be annoyed by their schemes. [Quran 20:130] Therefore, be patient in the face of their utterances, and praise and glorify your Lord before sunrise and before sunset. And during the night glorify Him, as well as at both ends of the day, that you may be happy. What choice will you make the next time you are tested? Will you resort to patience and remember to praise God?
