Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, As believers in God, what is expected of us? God defines the traits of the righteous in many verses of the Quran (2:2-5, 2:177, 3:17, 3:92, 8:2-4, 9:112, 23:1-6, 25:63-75, 42:37-43, etc.). [Quran 2:2-5] This scripture is infallible; a beacon for the righteous; who believe in the unseen, observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and from our provisions to them, they give to charity. And they believe in what was revealed to you, and in what was revealed before you, and with regard to the Hereafter, they are absolutely certain. These are guided by their Lord; these are the winners. [Quran 3:17] They are steadfast, truthful, submitting, charitable, and meditators at dawn. [Quran 33:41-42] O you who believe, you shall remember GOD frequently. You shall glorify Him day and night. Let us examine ourselves. If we are awake 16 hours, how much of that time do we practice the traits God uses to describe believers?
