Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder

In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Peace be upon you,

The terrorist group known as ISIS has once again claimed responsibility for a terrible crime, killing and injuring many innocent people in Brussels, Belgium. This crime violates God's commandments preached by Muhammad and all of God's prophets before him.

It is God's decree that life is sacred (Quran 6:151, 17:33, 25:68) and that there should be maximum freedom for all people, including the freedom of religion (Quran 2:256, 10:99, etc.). Unfortunately, these terrorists have abandoned true Islam (Submission to God) and God's words in the Quran.


    No Compulsion in Religion
[Quran 2:256] There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient.

    Grossness of Murder
[Quran 5:32] Because of this, we decreed for the Children of Israel that anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. ...

[Quran 6:115] Say, "Come let me tell you what your Lord has really prohibited for you: ... You shall not commit gross sins, obvious or hidden. You shall not kill--GOD has made life sacred ..."


We pray that God blesses us to follow His commandments. And by doing so may we be blessed with the prevalence of love, courtesy, peace, and mutual respect among the people, and between the world communities (3:110, 60:8-9).
