In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Peace be upon you,

He is the Knower of the future; He does not reveal the future to anyone.
Only to a messenger that He chooses,* does He reveal from the past and the future, specific news. [ Quran 72:26-27 ]

Among the duties of God's Messenger of the Covenant was unveiling the end of the world (http://www.masjidtucson.org/quran/appendices/appendix2.html#duties).

The Quran provides many signs, and states that the means for unveiling the end of the world have been given (Quran 47:18). The signs given in the Quran include:
1) The splitting of the moon
2) Discovering the Quran's 19-based mathematical code (74:30-37)
3) The creature (27:82)
4) Appearance of God's Messenger of the Covenant (3:81)
5) The Smoke (44:10)
6) Gog and Magog

While it's very unlikely our generation will be alive to witness the end of the world, we do need to grow our souls to prepare for the Day of Resurrection (Quran 50:39-42). At the time of death, our final destiny is known (16:28-33); God willing it's heaven and not hell. To avoid exile from God (i.e., hell) in the Hereafter, we must have a well-developed soul.

Are we sufficiently preparing our souls through rites decreed by God, such as the Contact Prayer?
