Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 5:35] O you who believe, you shall reverence GOD and seek the ways and means to Him, and strive in His cause, that you may succeed. [Quran 8:29] O you who believe, if you reverence GOD, He will enlighten you, remit your sins, and forgive you. GOD possesses infinite grace. [Quran 9:119] O you who believe, you shall reverence GOD, and be among the truthful. The command to reverence God appears often in the Quran (Quran 3:28, 3:30, 4:131, 5:35, 5:44, etc.). Reverencing God is linked with success (Quran 5:35, 5:100), enlightenment (Quran 8:29), forgiveness (Quran 8:29, 57:28, 67:12), remittance of sins (Quran 65:5), doing righteous works (Quran 23:57-61), heeding the message (Quran 26:108, 26:110, 26:126, 26:131, 36:11, etc.), God making things easy for the person (Quran 65:4) and (God willing) attaining Paradise (Quran 39:20, 39:73, 55:46, 98:8, etc.). Given how important it is to reverence God, a question to ask ourselves is: [Quran 71:13] Why should you not strive to reverence GOD?
