Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, Every day in Submission to God, is a day of Thanksgiving. God has blessed us with so much, that appreciating Him on "Thanksgiving day" (celebrated in some countries) should be part of what we observe as a daily practice. There is so much we can thank God for, whether it is His guidance (Quran 2:185), God's provisions (Quran 2:172, 14:37, 16:114), the blessing of health and faculties (Quran 16:78), the alternation of night and day (Quran 25:62, 28:71-72), or the uncountable other blessings (Quran 14:34) from Him. [Quran 2:172] O you who believe, eat from the good things we provided for you, and be thankful to GOD, if you do worship Him alone. [Quran 14:34] And He gives you all kinds of things that you implore Him for. If you count GOD's blessings, you can never encompass them. Indeed, the human being is transgressing, unappreciative. [Quran 39:66] Therefore, you shall worship GOD alone, and be appreciative. The more we thank God, the more we see how blessed we are. This allows our soul to grow and makes us happier (and in turn more appreciative). Why not start the cycle of appreciation and happiness by thanking God right away?
