In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Peace be upon you,

[Quran 70:32-33] And the believers keep their word; they are trustworthy. Their testimony is truthful.

[Quran 3:17] They are steadfast, truthful, submitting, charitable, and meditators at dawn.

[Quran 9:119] O you who believe, you shall reverence GOD, and be among the truthful.


Being truthful is an important trait of the righteous (Quran 2:177, 3:17, 70:32-33, etc.). God reminds us it's extremely abominable if we say what we do not do (Quran 61:2-3). If we lie, we may get some worldly benefit but we trade away our souls. Thus, our souls are the real losers when we lie, not the person we are lying to. The Quran reminds us that very thing we say is recorded by the angels (Quran 50:17-18). Plus, God is watching us and knows everything. We cannot hide from Him.

May we choose God, and choose to be honest. With His help, we are among those who are saved by their truthfulness (Quran 5:119).

[Quran 5:119] GOD will proclaim, "This is a day when the truthful will be saved by their truthfulness." They have deserved gardens with flowing streams. They abide therein forever. GOD is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. This is the greatest triumph.
