[97:5] Peaceful it is until the advent of the dawn. *97:1 The Quran was placed into Muhammad's soul on the 27th night of Ramadan, 13 B.H. (Before Hijrah). See also 17:1, 44:3, 53:1-18, and Appendix 28. [Quran 73:8] You shall commemorate the name of your Lord, to come ever closer and closer to Him. [Quran 76:26] During the night, fall prostrate before Him, and glorify Him many a long night. The Night of Destiny (Laylat Al-Qadr), the 27th night of Ramadan, is a very important night for Submitters to God. God describes this night as better than a thousand months (Quran 97:3). Because the Night of Destiny is such a special night, those who want to gain extra credit in righteousness spend the night by commemorating God. May God bless us with a peaceful Night of Destiny and help us take every opportunity to grow our souls.
