Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, Our appreciation of food is often heightened when we break our fast in Ramadan. While we do want to appreciate God's provisions after a day of fasting, we should remember God provides for our spiritual and worldly needs each day! Thank You God. Perhaps because food is an important part of our lives, we see a variety of verses where food plays a role. E.g., allegorical descriptions of the Hereafter, giving to charity when we harvest, proofs in Mary's provisions and the ghost town's sleeper's unspoiled food, how milk and honey are produced, etc. [Quran 2:172] O you who believe, eat from the good things we provided for you, and be thankful to GOD, if you do worship Him alone. [Quran 16:114] ... eat from GOD's provisions everything that is lawful and good, and be appreciative of GOD's blessings, if you do worship Him alone. [Quran 80:24-32] Let the human consider his food! We pour the water generously. Then we split the soil open. We grow in it grains. Grapes and pasture. Olives and palms. A variety of orchards. Fruits and vegetables. To provide life support for you and your animals.
