Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 23:61] They are eager to do righteous works; they compete in doing them. [Quran 83:22-26] The righteous have deserved bliss. On luxurious furnishings they watch. You recognize in their faces the joy of bliss. Their drinks will be spiced with nectar. Its spice is like musk. This is what the competitors should compete for. People compete for different prizes. In sports there are special tournaments for the best teams. Athletes spend year after year training and doing their very best to be invited to compete. And yet these prizes are temporary. Past winners are forgotten and success can be fleeting. What if the victory came with guaranteed bliss? How hard should we be willing to work for that? God promises eternal happiness for the righteous (Quran 10:62-64, 83:22-26, etc.). Joy and happiness that's beyond anything we can imagine (Quran 32:17). God tells us that Paradise is what we should compete for (Quran 83:22-26). It is the greatest triumph (Quran 4:13, 9:72, etc.)! What will we do today to be worthy of the greatest triumph?
