In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Peace be upon you,

     The Purpose of Our Existence
[Quran 51:56] I did not create the jinns and the humans except to worship Me alone.

[Quran 59:18] O you who believe, you shall reverence GOD, and let every soul examine what it has sent ahead for tomorrow. You shall reverence GOD; GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do.

[Quran 90:4] We created the human being to work hard (to redeem himself).*

God has given us a scripture that is fully detailed with the best commandments to save our soul. Satan may try to make us feel complacent because we observed some of them, e.g., the Contact Prayers (Salat). But were we reverent during the Contact Prayers (Salat) and did we avoid vain talk (Quran 23:2-3)? Did we avoid ridicule and even a little bit of suspicion (Quran 49:11-12)? Were we truthful (Quran 2:177)? Did we honor our parents (Quran 6:151)? Did we work on killing our egos (Quran 2:54)? We should regularly examine our soul (Quran 59:18). And while none of us are sinless, it's important to repent, seek forgiveness and make an effort to improve.
