Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 20:130] Therefore, be patient in the face of their utterances, and praise and glorify your Lord before sunrise and before sunset. And during the night glorify Him, as well as at both ends of the day, that you may be happy. [Quran 50:39-40] Therefore, be patient in the face of their utterances, and praise and glorify your Lord before sunrise, and before sunset. During the night you shall meditate on His name, and after prostrating. Human beings are impatient (Quran 17:11, 21:37). There are many opportunities to practice patience, including being patient in the face of other people's utterances. God gives us a "strategy" we can use when someone is "annoying us" with their words, i.e., praise and glorify God (Quran 20:130, 50:39-40). As we remember God, we also understand there's a good reason for everything. If what the other person is saying is correct, with God's help we can improve. If what they're saying is wrong, we can thank God for the truth in Quran. How will we react today in the face of annoyances?
