Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, People have a tendency to think they're appreciative. However, if we examine our past week or day, did we spend more time thinking of things we don't have or thanking God for what we have? [Quran 2:152] You shall remember Me, that I may remember you, and be thankful to Me; do not be unappreciative. [Quran 16:18] If you count GOD's blessings, you cannot possibly encompass them. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful. Luqmãn's Wisdom [Quran 31:12] We have endowed Luqmãn with wisdom: "You shall be appreciative of GOD." Whoever is appreciative is appreciative for his own good. As for those who turn unappreciative, GOD is in no need, Praiseworthy. God provides us with so much in our day-to-day lives--countless provisions for the soul and the body. Even if we did manage to count all God's blessings, we could never encompass them (Quran 14:34, 16:18). If God sealed our minds or took away our hearing and eyesight, how much would we miss them? And who could restore these for us but God? Are we thankful when we have them? What will we thank God for today?
