Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, The Only Criterion For Distinguishing Among The People [Quran 49:13] O people, we created you from the same male and female, and rendered you distinct peoples and tribes, that you may recognize one another. The best among you in the sight of GOD is the most righteous. GOD is Omniscient, Cognizant. God created all of us as descendants of Adam and Eve (Quran 49:13). In other words--we're all "Children of Adam" and from the same race biologically. The differences in skin color or other bodily features were put in place so we can recognize one another. Color or ethnicity does not make one human better than another. If God says skin color does not make us better than anyone else, we know it's the absolute truth. We should be careful to follow God's commands on how to treat other people equitably and in the best possible manner. May God protect us from becoming arrogant or harboring feelings of superiority. May God guide us and forgive us and help us do better.
