Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, After an election, people focus on who won and who lost. But, like all worldly events, the significance of who won and lost fades over time. We may not care about what happened 100 years ago and in another 100 years they may not care about us. But what does matter for eternity is if we save or lose our souls. The Winners [Quran 9:71] The believing men and women are allies of one another. They advocate righteousness and forbid evil, they observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) and give the obligatory charity (Zakat), and they obey GOD and His messenger. These will be showered by GOD's mercy. GOD is Almighty, Most Wise. [Quran 39:15] "Therefore, worship whatever you wish besides Him." Say, "The real losers are those who lose their souls, and their families, on the Day of Resurrection." Most certainly, this is the real loss. Do we want to be winners for eternity? What are we going to do today to be among the winners?
