Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 2:2-5] This scripture is infallible; a beacon for the righteous; who believe in the unseen, observe the Contact Prayers (Salat),* and from our** provisions to them, they give to charity. And they believe in what was revealed to you, and in what was revealed before you,* and with regard to the Hereafter, they are absolutely certain. These are guided by their Lord; these are the winners. Sports fans are excited that it's tournament time. They cheer for their favorite teams and players. But most fans end up disappointed because only one player or team wins. That's how it is in human contests--there is only one winner. The rest are losers. And even the winners are forgotten after some time. God the Most Gracious, Most Merciful, allows every righteous person to be a winner (Quran 2:2-5, 7:8, 10:61-64, 23:102, etc.). And the prizes from God are far better than any prize in this world (Quran 2:103, 3:14, 3:198, etc.). More importantly, if you make it to Heaven, you never have to give it up. Isn't that a victory we should be excited about and work towards?
