Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 59:18] O you who believe, you shall reverence GOD, and let every soul examine what it has sent ahead for tomorrow. You shall reverence GOD; GOD is fully Cognizant of everything you do. The Purpose of Our Life* [Quran 67:2] The One who created death and life for the purpose of distinguishing those among you who would do better.* He is the Almighty, the Forgiving. *67:2 See the Introduction and Appendix 7 for details of the purpose behind this world. Another year is almost over. How do we feel about our souls today? For the things we are doing well, may God help us steadfastly persevere in continuing them and improving where possible. For the mistakes we made -- God in His infinite mercy, gives us the ways and means of starting all over again through sincere repentance (Quran 66:8, 2:160, 5:74). Repentance involves returning to God; after being unaware for a while, we can now decide to return and be with God (Quran 38:46, 4:146, 7:205-206, 51:56, 67:1-2). Reflection exercise: what soul-change do we want to start working on today?
