Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 83:22-26] The righteous have deserved bliss. On luxurious furnishings they watch. You recognize in their faces the joy of bliss. Their drinks will be spiced with nectar. Its spice is like musk. This is what the competitors should compete for. The Olympic games start this week. Competitors from the world over try their hardest to win. It takes a lifetime of work to reach the Olympics. And yet it's all over in a matter of days. Most athletes, as well-trained and talented as they are, do not win. And a victory is only temporary, for a few years. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone who sincerely tried could win forever? By God's grace and mercy, all who sincerely devote their worship to Him alone can be eternal winners. Is it any surprise that God says Heaven is what we should really compete for (Quran 83:22-26, 90:4)? And that Paradise and God's approval is the greatest triumph (Quran 4:13, 5:119, 9:72, etc.)? May God help us to be among the winners on the Day of Judgment.
