Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 25:67] When they give, they are neither extravagant, nor stingy; they give in moderation. For some aspects in our faith like reverencing or remembering God, we are told to do as much as we can (33:41-2). And in other aspects, God's design and commandments for Submitters is that of precise design and moderation. For example, we observe five Contact Prayers (Salat), no more nor less. We fast one month during Ramadan. The obligatory charity is 2.5%, and beyond that we are told to give to charity in moderation. The Quran also teaches us to suppress our anger, not to grieve over things we miss nor to become excited and proud over blessings (57:22-23). May God help us so we remember that He is running everything and take the path and make the choices that please Him.
