Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, Appreciative vs Unappreciative [Quran 14:7] Your Lord has decreed: "The more you thank Me, the more I give you." But if you turn unappreciative, then My retribution is severe. [Quran 2:152] You shall remember Me, that I may remember you, and be thankful to Me; do not be unappreciative. The old song goes, "Count your blessings, name them one by one. Count your blessings, see what God has done." It is simple and uplifting and for a good reason. Appreciation reminds us of God and of how blessed we truly are! God has given us so much -- a chance on earth to redeem ourselves, bodies with trillions of cells that carry out their job without us even thinking about it, so many provisions and an uncountable variety of things around us to enjoy. Thank You God. Reflection exercise: let us pause and think of 3 blessings we have that we don't want to lose.
