Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 31:12] We have endowed Luqmãn with wisdom: "You shall be appreciative of GOD." Whoever is appreciative is appreciative for his own good. As for those who turn unappreciative, GOD is in no need, Praiseworthy. [Quran 3:123] … you shall observe GOD, to show your appreciation. [Quran 46:15] … "My Lord, direct me to appreciate the blessings You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do the righteous works that please You. …" Being appreciative is good for our souls. It helps us be aware of the many provisions God has blessed us with. Through thanking and remembering God, we can grow our souls and draw closer to the One who created us and gave us this life as a precious chance to redeem ourselves. None of us know how long we have left on earth. The more appreciative we are of God's blessings, the better submitters we can become. But if we turn unappreciative, God is in no need, Praiseworthy (Quran 31:12).
