Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, Requirements of the Test [Quran 6:158] Are they waiting for the angels to come to them, or your Lord, or some physical manifestations of your Lord? The day this happens, no soul will benefit from believing if it did not believe before that, and did not reap the benefits of belief by leading a righteous life.* Say, "Keep on waiting; we too are waiting." *6:158 After believing, the soul must grow and develop through the worship practices prescribed by God. How much time do we spend preparing and consuming meals and snacks for our body? And how much time do we spend nourishing our soul? Do we look forward to making contact with our Creator with the same eagerness as anticipating our favorite meal? This body ultimately goes to dust. So, the question becomes: What kind of soul will we have for eternity? Will it be weak and malnourished? Or will it be big and healthy? It is up to us to feed our souls regularly and eagerly by observing the Contact Prayers (Salat), giving to charity and doing all the worship practices God gave us.
