Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, The Unforgivable Sin [Quran 4:48] GOD does not forgive idolatry,* but He forgives lesser offenses for whomever He wills. Anyone who sets up idols beside GOD, has forged a horrendous offense. *4:48 Idol worship is not forgivable, if maintained until death. One can always repent from any offense, including idolatry before death comes (see 4:18 & 40:66). God tells us setting up idols beside Him is a horrendous offense (Quran 4:48). God alone created the heavens and the earth, He is the only One who provides for us and can help us (Quran 27:60-65). He is the Lord of the universe (Quran 1:2) and only He controls every atom therein (Quran 10:61). The Master of the Day of Judgment (Quran 1:4). Setting up any idol besides God is by definition a fabrication, a horribly empty lie. It is a gross injustice (Quran 31:13). When God bears witness that there is no god except He (Quran 3:18), it is the human ego (arrogance augmented by ignorance) that says God is wrong and they know better. We pray that God guides us (Quran 1:5-6) and protects us from any idol worship (Quran 14:35).
