Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 3:134] ... give to charity during the good times, as well as the bad times. They are suppressors of anger, and pardoners of the people. GOD loves the charitable. [Quran 23:60] As they give their charities, their hearts are fully reverent. For they recognize that they will be summoned before their Lord, Research tells us that giving to charity brings us happiness. This shows that God's system is perfect for both body and soul. God loves the charitable (Quran 2:195, 3:134). And He specifies His mercy for those who give the obligatory charity (Zakat) (Quran 7:156). Any submitter to God would eagerly seek His love and His mercy by giving Zakat and being charitable. We give charity for our own good (Quran 2:272). God reminds us that we should give charity seeking to please Him alone (Quran 2:272, 76:9) and with a reverent heart (Quran 23:60). We should not nullify our charities by inflicting reproach and insult (Quran 2:263-264). May God accept our charities and admit us into His mercy.
