In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Peace be upon you,

[Quran 14:32] GOD is the One who created the heavens and the earth, and He sends down from the sky water to produce all kinds of fruit for your sustenance. He has committed the ships to serve you on the sea in accordance with His command. He has committed the rivers as well to serve you.

[Quran 45:12] GOD is the One who committed the sea in your service, so that the ships can roam it in accordance with His laws. You thus seek His provisions, that you may be appreciative.


People enjoy watching rivers flow and the sea waves lapping the shore. God is the One who designed the water to be beautiful and put the rivers and the seas in our service. They are a source of sustenance for all kinds of creatures including humans. Global trade depends on transport through the seas. And life would not exist without evaporation and the water-cycle that generates fresh water. Are we appreciative enough?

Glory be to God--the Creator, the Initiator and the Designer!
