Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, Choose Your Priorities Carefully This Life [Quran 17:18] Anyone who chooses this fleeting life as his priority, we will rush to him what we decide to give him, then we commit him to Gehenna, where he suffers forever, despised and defeated. The Hereafter [Quran 17:19] As for those who choose the Hereafter as their priority, and work righteousness, while believing, their efforts will be appreciated. [17:20] For each one of them we provide; we provide those and these from your Lord's bounties. Your Lord's bounties are inexhaustible. While our life in this world is short and fleeting, our life in the Hereafter is eternal. If we invested our time and effort daily in proportion to the duration of rewards in each life, we would logically be focused on the Hereafter (since the ratio of our expected worldly lifespan divided by eternity is 0). If we examine ourselves, what proportion of our energy do we devote to preparing for the eternal life? Is that something we want to change?
