Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 23:1-2] Successful indeed are the believers; who are reverent during their Contact Prayers (Salat). [Quran 7:206] Those at your Lord are never too proud to worship Him; they glorify Him and fall prostrate before Him. Submitters to God are privileged to perform the Contact Prayer (in Arabic, Salat) each day. The word "Salat" comes from the root word "Sila" which means connection or contact. When we observe the Contact Prayer we are doing more than just praying, we are making contact with our Creator. In this world, we have to wait months to talk to the president of our country. But the Lord of the universe has given us a gift -- an opportunity to make contact with Him and humble ourselves before Him five times each day. May God bless help us be among those who consistently observe the Contact Prayers (Salat).
