Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, A refuge is a place of safety, a place to be sheltered from danger or trouble. It's a retreat, a sanctuary, a haven, a stronghold. Our only true refuge is God. He tells us many times in the Quran to seek refuge in Him. [Quran 7:200] When the devil whispers to you any whisper, seek refuge in GOD; He is Hearer, Omniscient. [Quran 23:97] Say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the whispers of the devils. [23:98] "And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they come near me." God becomes our refuge when we trust Him above all else; when we know that only God can provide for us, protect us, and guide us. [Quran 72:22] Say, "No one can protect me from GOD, nor can I find any other refuge besides Him. [Quran 11:47] He said, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You, lest I implore You again for something I do not know. Unless You forgive me, and have mercy on me, I will be with the losers." (Psalm 91:1-2) Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." God gives us so many ways to remember to seek refuge in Him here and now. If we can do that then it will be easy to find refuge in Him on the Day of Judgment. [Quran 114:1] Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of the people. [114:2] "The King of the people. [114:3] "The god of the people.
