Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, Guaranteed Victory for the Believers [Quran 30:47] We have sent messengers before you to their people, with profound signs. Subsequently, we punished those who transgressed. It is our duty that we grant victory to the believers. Guaranteed victory! What a great reassurance (as seen in the subtitle for 30:47 and other verses). Guarantee can be defined as a formal promise or assurance (typically in writing) that certain conditions will be fulfilled. God is guaranteeing that if we fulfill our part of the covenant, He will absolutely fulfill His. He even says in verse 30:47 that it's His duty! He doesn't owe us anything. We were in Paradise in His presence and we chose to throw it away. We chose to rebel against God. Yet, in His mercy, we have this chance to come back into His kingdom and be forgiven, be redeemed. And He sends us so much to help us along the way--scripture, messengers, all the signs all around us. He is so Merciful. And He has guaranteed our salvation if we obey His commands and worship Him alone. It also puts things in perspective. What would we rather spend our time on? Worldly victory or spiritual victory? In this world, "victory" is fleeting, whether it is in sports, politics or business. But God's victory is guaranteed and brings eternal rewards. [Quran 39:20] As for those who reverence their Lord, they will have mansions upon mansions constructed for them, with flowing streams. This is GOD's promise, and GOD never breaks His promise. [Quran 4:122] As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, we will admit them into gardens with flowing streams, wherein they live forever. Such is the truthful promise of GOD. Whose utterances are more truthful than GOD's?
