Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, Hûd [Quran 7:65] To 'Ãd we sent their brother Hûd. He said, "O my people, worship GOD; you have no other god beside Him. Would you then observe righteousness?" [7:66] The leaders who disbelieved among his people said, "We see that you are behaving foolishly, and we think that you are a liar." [7:67] He said, "O my people, there is no foolishness in me; I am a messenger from the Lord of the universe. When Hûd invited people to worship God, they thought it was a foolish idea. Humans today are similar. Many dismiss the idea of worshiping God as foolishness. Satan has them duped and many don't believe in God or the Hereafter. Or they think there is no good reason to be spending too much time worshiping God, and so their focus is this worldly life. On the other hand, God reminds us that to forsake His religion is to fool one's own soul (Quran 2:130). God tells us that the intelligent believe in God, follow His words, devote themselves to totally to Him and remember Him throughout the day (Quran 3:190-194, 39:9, 39:17-18). May God help us avoid being fooled by Satan.
