In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Peace be upon you,

	Happiness: Now and Forever*
[Quran 10:62-64] Absolutely, GOD's allies have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
 They are those who believe and lead a righteous life.
 For them, joy and happiness in this world, as well as in the Hereafter. This is GOD's unchangeable law. Such is the greatest triumph.
*10:62-64 Most people think that they have to wait until the Day of Resurrection before they receive their rewards for righteousness, or the retribution for wickedness. But the Quran repeatedly assures the believers that they are guaranteed perfect happiness here in this world, now and forever. At the end of their interim here, they go directly to Paradise (see Appendix 17).


Many of us have heard the catchy song, "Don't worry, be happy". That's what God tells us in the Quran as well--have no fear nor grief, God will bless you with happiness. Happiness comes from worshiping God alone. God guarantees it!

Everything down to the sub-atomic level is in God's control (Quran 10:61). If God is in control, who are we to complain? There is a good reason for everything. No one can harm us if we are with God. If we step away from God or sin, He allows us to seek forgiveness and strive to do better. If someone else treats us poorly, we can turn to God for help to respond with righteousness. When a boss, friend or politician says something annoying, we can remember the advice in 20:130 and 50:39 to be patient, praise and glorify God. Satan will try to sow fear, guilt and anger. But we can choose to go on God's path, and turn the sadness to happiness!

May God grant us happiness in this world and the Hereafter.
