Peace be upon you,

	The Bee
[16:68] And your Lord inspired the bee: build homes in mountains and trees, and in (the hives) they build for you.
[16:69] Then eat from all the fruits, following the design of your Lord, precisely. From their bellies comes a drink of different colors, wherein there is healing for the people. This should be (sufficient) proof for people who reflect.*
*16:69 Besides its recognized nutritive value, honey has been scientifically proven as a healing medicine for certain allergies and other ailments.


God's design of bees is a wonderful proof for us. When we think of bees, we think of sweet tasting honey. But, honey also has medicinal use as an antibiotic, to treat wounds, burns, coughs and more. Amazingly also, honey does not spoil if sealed properly as observed from archaeological finds that are thousands of years old.

It is God's gift that bees let us have honey given the hard work needed to produce it. It takes bees an estimated 10 million foraging trips to gather enough nectar to make a single pound of honey! During this process, bees pollinate a large number of plants (many of which would not propagate without bees).

Praise be to God. May God help us be appreciative.
