Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 56:88-91] If he is one of those close to Me--then joy, flowers, and gardens of bliss. And if he is one of the right--peace is the lot of those on the right. We are all familiar with the beautiful descriptions of Heaven in the Quran--gardens with flowing streams, luxurious furnishings, mansions, pretty jewelry and clothing. It all sounds wonderful. But the true blessing of Heaven is being close to God. To be among the elite of the elite (Quran 56:10-11) is the greatest triumph. And it's not just because it will all be so beautiful and we can get anything we want. It's more because we will be in God's presence. And being there, He will remove all our worries (Quran 35:34); He will remove jealousy from our hearts (Quran 17:43, 15:47); we will hear no nonsense and no lies (Quran 19:62, 56:25, 78:35); we will never be tired or bored (Quran 35:35), but be happily busy (Quran 36:55); we will never be evicted from Paradise (Quran 15:48). The promise from God is perfect peace, joy, and serenity for all eternity. May we all do the things in this world that will guarantee us that position of honor at an Omnipotent King (Quran 54:55).
