Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 3:92] You cannot attain righteousness until you give to charity from the possessions you love. Whatever you give to charity, GOD is fully aware thereof. [Quran 2:272] ... Any charity you give is for your own good. Any charity you give shall be for the sake of GOD. Any charity you give will be repaid to you, without the least injustice. God loves the charitable (Quran 2:195). He tells us to give to charity (including Zakat) so we may attain righteousness (Quran 3:92) and His mercy (Quran 7:156). Charity has many benefits for us and for society. For example, research shows that giving charity makes us happy. For the receiver, charity can help improve physical and mental health, education, employment, lower homelessness, and more. Research also shows that in general recipients spend charity productively and don't waste it on vices. Praise be to God. May God accept our charity and admit us into His mercy.
