Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, Treat Each Other Amicably [Quran 17:53] Tell My servants to treat each other in the best possible manner, for the devil will always try to drive a wedge among them. Surely, the devil is man's most ardent enemy. Major Commandments [Quran 4:36] You shall worship GOD aloneā€•do not associate anything with Him. You shall regard the parents, the relatives, the orphans, the poor, the related neighbor, the unrelated neighbor, the close associate, the traveling alien, and your servants. GOD does not like the arrogant showoffs. Sometimes I find myself aggravated with others. I am impatient with them or caught in some other negative train of thought. When this happens, it always helps me to remember God's advice to treat others in the best way possible (Quran 41:33-35, 17:53, 4:36, etc.). The Bible tells us that Jesus taught with very similar words: Do unto others as you would like them do unto you. (Luke 6:31) God can change the situation from animosity to peace. All we need to do is obey God and treat each other in the way He wants us to. Giving up our desires in favor of God's command can help us subdue our ego. We have no power, but God has all power and controls all things including people's hearts. May God help us follow His system of treating others in the best possible manner.
