In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Peace be upon you,

[Quran 29:45] You shall recite what is revealed to you of the scripture, and observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), for the Contact Prayers prohibit evil and vice. But the remembrance of GOD (through Salat) is the most important objective. GOD knows everything you do.

[Quran 2:153] O you who believe, seek help through steadfastness and the Contact Prayers (Salat). GOD is with those who steadfastly persevere. 


People may pray in different ways and for different reasons. They may pray to God for help, or in thanks when God saves them or their loved ones. People may pray to communicate with God, or to express the love and thanks they have for Him.

One of the prayers we observe is Contact Prayers (in Arabic, Salat, from the root word "sila" which means connection or contact). Salat allows us to make direct contact with our Creator and nourish our souls by remembering Him. Many have shared the peace, awe and contentment they felt when observing the Contact Prayers. And the comfort of knowing that God responds to the prayers of His servants.

May we all enjoy that wondrous experience and the blessings of prayer.
