Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 23:1] Successful indeed are the believers; [23:2] who are reverent during their Contact Prayers (Salat). [23:3] And they avoid vain talk. Human beings all want success. If you're an athlete, you want to win. If you're a politician, you want to be elected. If you're a businessman, you want wealth. If you're an actor, you want fame. Accomplishing those things is how most people see success. What is success to a submitter? The phrase "that you may succeed" appears eleven times in the Quran. For example, in 2:189 and 3:130 we learn that we must observe God to succeed. And in 87:14-15 we learn that success comes from redeeming our souls by remembering the name of God and observing the Contact Prayers. What else must we do to succeed?
