Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, The Best Deal [Quran 61:10] O you who believe, let Me inform you of a trade that will save you from painful retribution. [61:11] Believe in GOD and His messenger and strive in the cause of GOD with your money and your lives. This is the best deal for you, if you only knew. [61:12] In return, He forgives your sins, and admits you into gardens with flowing streams, with beautiful mansions in the gardens of Eden. This is the greatest triumph. We love good deals. We search for bargains, clip coupons and watch for ads. On "black Friday" some people stay up all night, camp out at a Best Buy, just to get a deal on the latest flat screen TV. This isn't limited to our day and age. The Quran tells us about the brothers of Joseph who were pleased when they got home and found their goods returned to them, they called it a "profitable deal" (Quran 12:65). You can definitely save money on the deals of this world. But these deals may be limited in number and the joy from them may only last a few days. In contrast, God's deal is open to anyone and is everlasting: if we believe and lead a righteous life, He takes care of our needs in this world and grants us eternal happiness.
