Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 77:27] We placed on it high mountains, and provided you with fresh water to drink. [Quran 2:267] O you who believe, you shall give to charity from the good things you earn, and from what we have produced for you from the earth. ... Water is essential for life. We are made from water (Quran 24:45), and we use it every day. Most of us are blessed with ample clean water to drink (Quran 16:10) and enjoy. When we are thirsty or need to cook, wash or take care of plants, our thoughts are often about convenience (e.g., which mug will I use, or is the water cold enough). We rarely worry whether there will be fresh water in the faucet. Thank You God. But for many people getting clean water is a challenge. They may walk for miles to get fresh water and what they have may run out before the day is over. Submitters have been working with a non-profit, Charity Water, to donate money to build water projects for the needy. By God's Grace many have generously contributed, and God willing the project will be open until October if you wish to donate.
