Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 38:82] He said, "I swear by Your majesty, that I will send them all astray. [38:83] "Except Your worshipers who are devoted absolutely to You alone." [38:84] He said, "This is the truth, and the truth is all that I utter. [Quran 36:60] Did I not covenant with you, O Children of Adam, that you shall not worship the devil? That he is your most ardent enemy? [36:61] And that you shall worship Me alone? This is the right path. The devil is our most ardent enemy (Quran 2:208), and has been since the very beginning. Not only did Satan's arrogance cause him to rebel against God, but he has also sworn to mislead humanity. As a creature made of "fire", he looks down on humans made of "clay", and sees them as easy prey. What can we do to protect ourselves? The answer is to devote our worship to God alone. When we do so, God reassures us that we will receive His protection, and shifts of angels will take turns staying with us and guard us in accordance with His commands (Quran 13:11). Let's submit to God and use what God has given us to extinguish Satan's power over us, rather than getting burnt.
