Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 6:130] O you jinns and humans, did you not receive messengers from among you, who narrated to you My revelations, and warned you about the meeting of this day? They will say, "We bear witness against ourselves." They were totally preoccupied with the worldly life, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers. What are some risks of being preoccupied with this life? We may forget about the Day of Judgment (Quran 6:130, 7:51, 76:27), ignore or become heedless of God's revelations and reminders (Quran 9:69, 45:35), refuse to heed God's proofs (10:7), transgress on earth (Quran 10:23, 79:37), not forbid evil (Quran 11:116), not take our religion seriously (Quran 7:51), and even disbelieve in God (Quran 16:107)! As a result, our souls don't grow, and we may do things that harm ourselves or others. May God help us devote our worship to Him alone, be mindful of the Hereafter and lead a righteous life.
