Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, God has decreed that mercy is His attribute (Quran 6:12, 6:54). He didn't have to show us mercy; we're not very worthy of it after having rebelled (Quran 38:69), but He promises that He will. And He does. All the time. In so many ways. Just being here at all is a great mercy. This world and its beauty is God's mercy. And every time He forgives another sin, that's mercy. One of God's names, that begins all but one of the Quran's chapters, is "Most Merciful". What a tremendous gift. Searching for the word "mercy" gives over 130 verses and that doesn't include merciful, just mercy. [Quran 2:218] Those who believe, and those who emigrate and strive in the cause of GOD, have deserved GOD's mercy. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful. [Quran 3:107] As for those whose faces are brightened, they will rejoice in GOD's mercy; they abide therein forever. [Quran 9:21] Their Lord gives them good news: mercy and approval from Him, and gardens where they rejoice in everlasting bliss. [Quran 45:20] This provides enlightenments for the people, and guidance, and mercy for those who are certain. May we always be appreciative of God's immense mercy and forgiveness.
