Subject: [Masjid Tucson] Submission weekly reminder In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful Peace be upon you, [Quran 90:4] We created the human being to work hard (to redeem himself).* *90:4 See the Introduction and Appendix 7 for the purpose behind our creation. Many students graduate this time of the year. They study, go through tests, work hard to overcome their weaknesses, and put in a lot of effort so that one day they can graduate. Graduation is a cause for much celebration. From the perspective of our souls, life can be seen as a school. We didn't do very well during the great feud (Quran 38:67-69). God, in His grace and mercy, gave us a chance to do better. This life a chance to worship God alone (Quran 51:56) and work hard on our souls to overcome our spiritual weaknesses (Quran 90:4). If we succeed, we get to enjoy the ultimate joy (Quran 32:17) of being redeemed back to God! May we approach this life as a wonderful opportunity to come to God with our whole heart.
